My Chinese cultural hero is Granny Wang Guiying. Born in 1940, Wang Guiying devoted her life to Chinese folk paper cutting and she is good at cutting all kinds of papers. The forms are also various. When you are enjoying paper cuts cut by her, you feel like touching them and you can't helping being lost in thought. Of course what't more important is that she passes our tradition on, making more and more people especially young people. I hope more people can find the beauty of paper cutting and join in the activity of protecting tradition culture and be grateful to people like Wang Guiying.

China is a unified, multi-nationality country, comprising 56 nationalities and with a population of 1.3 billion. China is one of the biggest countries in the world. It has an area of about 9.6 million square kilometers.
China is situated in the eastern part of Asia west of the Pacific Ocean. It is the third largest country in the world after Canada and Russia. When the sun shines brightly over the Wusuli River in the east, the Pamir Plateau in the west is in the very early morning. In the winter when blizzards darken the sky along the Heilongjiang River in the north, spring sowing is underway on Hainan Island in the south.
Beside a vast land area, there are also extensive neighboring seas and numerous islands. More than 5,000 islands are scattered over China's vast territorial seas; the largest being Taiwan and the second largest Hainan.
China is the world's oldest continuous civilization. Travel to China is a life-time experience and the best way to understand China. Only when you are there, can you start to appreciate and understand what a difference it is to live in a nation with a population of 1.3 billion.
China offers a variety of choices for visitors. If you are interested in Chinese history, Chinese culture or Chinese scenery, your trip will be fulfilling and very interesting. If you want to enjoy a peaceful sunshine holiday on the beach there are plenty of tourist areas along the coast, which have unspoiled beaches and luxury hotels for visitors.
You may have heard or read a lot about China from books, newspapers, magazines and TV programs. China is different from many of your previous experiences and may shock you in many ways. This is what China is!
This country is changing and progressing every day，yet it is still a developing country.
China will hold the Olympic Games in Beijing in the year 2008. We welcome all friends from the entire world to come to Beijing to realize “One World, One Dream”.
As you can see, China is a very diverse country and will become better and better.
